Program’s purpose/objectives:

The MBA program aims to assist students to develop those critical skills that can help them manage effectively with today’s realities in a highly competitive world. Heavy emphasis is placed on helping students develop strong and transferable decision-making skills. Businesses and organizations need leaders with a sophisticated understanding of the core aspects of business, management and the confidence and competence to take on new challenges, and raise the level of their aspiration and their organization’s performance.

Our MBA program, with its paths in General Management, Innovation & Entrepreneurship and Healthcare Management is designed to provide graduates with the knowledge, abilities and skills necessary to become productive, and valuable professionals in their society and to adapt and excel to a continuously changing business environment.

Student admission requirements

Admission to the MBA program requires a good honours degree. Previous work experience of a minimum 2 years in a managerial or supervisory position is highly recommended.

Proficiency in the English language
Applicants whose first language is not English, and who do not have a recognized degree or equivalent qualifications taught and examined in English are required to provide evidence of their competency in written and spoken English, normally through IELTS (6.5. or higher) or TOEFL (550+) or GCE Ordinary level (Grade C or above). Students below this standard can be provided with individually designed English language courses on campus and must achieve the required test scores prior to registration for the MBA program.

Candidates are required to write a short report on themselves and attend a personal online interview with the MBA Academic Committee of the University before admission is confirmed. Two letters of recommendation concerning the applicant’s character and academic potential should be mailed directly to the Office of Admission by past professors or employers who know the applicant well.

Learning outcomes

Students graduating the program should able to:
1. Recognize and appraise the critical issues faced by different organizations.
2. Demonstrate knowledge of how to select the priorities for organizational performance improvement and plan the means to bring about that improvement.
3. Demonstrate understanding of the key stages and challenges involved in identifying opportunities and strategies for business start-ups, particularly in the new digital environment.
4. Understand the management fundamentals and processes that are vital to business success and that are operated by specialist functional teams in an organization.
5. Demonstrate deep knowledge of management aspects and challenges of the Healthcare Industry.

Graduation Requirements

Students studying towards the MBA Degree in all three Concentrations are required to take a minimum of ninety (90) ECTS.
Twenty-four (24) ECTS come from Core courses, forty-two (42) ECTS come from the Concentration Compulsory courses, twelve (12) ECTS come from Elective courses, and twelve (12) ECTS come from the Master’s Thesis.
