Program’s Purpose and Objectives

The principal aim of the Business Studies Program is to provide a contemporary and dynamic program of study which gives students knowledge, skills and competences in courses relevant to business management while also giving students a broader perspective of the business sector. The program also provides enough specialization for a career in business. More specifically the aims are:

  • the study of organizations, their management and the changing external environment in which they operate;
  • the preparation for, and development of, a career in business and management;
  • the enhancement of lifelong learning skills and personal development to contribute to society at large.

Intended Learning Outcomes
Uponn completion of this program, graduates should be able to:

  • demonstrate effective communication skills in a business environment;
  • understand the importance of culture and diversity in global and local business environments;
  • appreciate and understand the ethical implications of business decisions and actions;
  • demonstrate proficiency in the use of technology for making sound business decisions;
  • demonstrate critical thinking, diagnostic, synthesis, research and problem-solving skills in making business decisions;
  • demonstrate knowledge of group dynamics and interpersonal skills needed to be an effective leader and manager

Admission Requirements

Admission Requirements

  • graduation from a six-year public or private school of secondary education formally registered by the Ministry of Education, and Culture, Sport and Youth of the Republic of Cyprus or the Ministry of Education, Research and Religious Affairs of the Republic of Greece. In addition, evidence that the applicant is competent in written and spoken Greek or English; 

  or

  • a General Certificate of Education with a pass mark in FIVE COURSES, including TWO COURSES at Advanced Level and Ordinary Level passes in English Language or an equivalent qualification; 

   or

  • a General Certificate of Education with a pass mark in FOUR COURSES, including THREE COURSES at Advanced Level and Ordinary Level passes in English Language or an equivalent qualification; 

   or

  • successful completion of a university Foundation program or an equivalent qualification;

or

  • graduation from an approved course in an accredited secondary education school of 12 years of education and, in addition, evidence that the applicant is competent in written and spoken Greek or English.
