Biography

Efrosyni Kleanthous received her BSc in Nursing from National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. She has also received her MSc and PhD in Mental Health from National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. In addition, she has received a master degree in Community Health (General Family Health Care specialization) from Frederick University of Cyprus. Dr Kleanthous has received special education in CBT Psychotherapy, in Family Psychoeducation as well as in Addiction Counselling. As author and co-author, she has published several articles in scientific journals. She has worked in mental health settings in Greece and Cyprus. She has also worked as a Research Associate in Cyprus University of Technology in the program “Prevention and Mental Health Care in the Community”.

Additionally, she has worked as special scientist (teaching activity) at the Mental Health Nursing Training Program of the Nursing Department (Cyprus University of Technology). Her current research concerns mental health and psychoeducation in the community, and more specifically, in special population groups such as diabetic patients and patients with mental health problems.
