Dr. Thanos Dimas is Assistant Professor of Marketing Management at Philips University and Advisor to the Minister of Economy and Finance, responsible for the coordination and implementation of the Ministry’s projects.
Previously, he served as advisor to the same Minister at the Ministry of Education, Religious Affairs and Sports, where he was responsible for the Ministry’s digital projects funded by national resources and the Recovery and Resilience Facility (RRF). Before that, he served for three years as Advisor to the Minister of State and Digital Governance.
He is currently a Member of the Board of Directors of ETBA – Business and Industrial Areas S.A. and previously he has been a Member of the Board of Directors of the National Documentation Centre and Electronic Content (EKT) and of the Hellenic Space Center, and he is currently a Member of the Board of Directors of ETBA – Business and Industrial Areas S.A.
Previously, he was Coordinator of the Department of Measurement of Research and Innovation Activities at the National Documentation Centre / National Research Foundation, and Head of the European Statistics of Business Innovation Surveys and Research & Development.
Dr. Dimas is Co-Founder and Marketing Manager of the consulting company Saint Startup (www.saintstartup.com) and works as a business consultant, primarily supporting startups and high-growth companies. He has also served as Marketing and Digital Marketing Consultant at the Athens Startup Business Incubator (Th.E.A.) of the Athens Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI), as well as Strategy Consultant for the Attica Broadcasting Activities of the University of Athens.
In the past, he served as Director of the “MBA for Executives” and “MSc in Digital Marketing” programs at the Business School of Athens, offered in cooperation with Plymouth Business School – University of Plymouth.
From 2006 to 2013, he worked as a Researcher in multiple European research projects, collaborating with the University of Piraeus and the University of Ioannina. He holds a PhD from the University of Ioannina and an MSc from the University of Piraeus.
Since 2018, he has been teaching Marketing Management, Market Research, Change Management, and Business Strategy in the MBA of the University of Athens. Since 2014, he teaches Strategic Management in the postgraduate program “Management and Economics of Telecommunication Networks and Information Systems” at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.
Previously, he taught at the University of Ioannina courses including Marketing Research, Strategic Marketing, Marketing and Service Management, Retail Marketing, Industrial Marketing, and Organization and Sales Management.
