Dr. Thanos Dimas is advisor to the Minister of Education, Religious Affairs and Sports Kyriakos Pierrakakis responsible for the digital projects of the ministry funded from national sources and sources of the Resilience and Recovery Fund. In the past was for three years advisor to the Minister of State and Digital Governance He is also a member of the BoD of the National Documentation Center and Electronic Content (EKT) and member of the BoD of the Hellenic Space Center.
Previously, he was the coordinator of the Department of Measurement of Research & Innovation Activity Services of the National Documentation Center / National Research Foundation, and head of the European Statistics of Business Innovation Surveys and Research and Development.
He is also co-founder and Marketing Manager of the consulting company Saint Startup (www.saintstartup.com) and he works as business consultant for several companies and especially startups.
He was also Marketing and Digital Marketing consultant at the Athens Startup Business Incubator (Th.E.A.) of the Athens Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI) and strategy consultant in the Attica Broadcasting Activities of the University of Athens.
In the past, he has served as director of the “MBA for Executives” and “MSc Digital Marketing” master programs of the Business School of Athens, which was offered in cooperation with the Plymouth Business School – Plymouth University.
From 2006 to 2013 he worked as a researcher in several European research projects with University of Piraeus and University of Ioannina.
Dr. Dimas Thanos holds a PhD from the University of Ioannina and a MSc from University of Piraeus.
Since 2018 he teaches “Marketing Management”, “Market Research”, “Change Management” and “Business Strategy” in the University of Athens MBA. Since 2014 he teaches “Strategic Management” in the postgraduate program “Management and Economics of Telecommunication Networks and Information Systems” of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. In the past he has taught at the University of Ioannina (2006-2009) “Marketing Research”, “Strategic Marketing”, “Marketing and Service Management” and “Retail Marketing”, “Industrial Marketing” and ” Organization and Sales Management “.
