Biography

Petros Steriotis was born in 1979 in Athens.

He is a PhD candidate at Philips University in Cyprus, with a thesis topic on the possibilities of predicting the movement of exchange-traded Crude Oil prices on the basis of Technical Analysis.

He studied Business Administration (B.A.) at the Athens University of Economics and Business (ASOEE) and Finance (M.Sc.) in England (University of Leicester).

As a student he was awarded by the Hellenic Mathematical Society. He fulfilled his military obligations as an Evzone of the Presidential Guard. He speaks fluently German, French and Russian.

He is a professional portfolio manager and investment advisor, certified by the Capital Market Commissions of Greece, Cyprus and Bulgaria, the Bank of Greece and the Frankfurt Stock Exchange.

He is an active member of the International Federation of Technical Analysts (IFTA) and the British Society of Technical Analysts. He received 3rd place in the 2023 CMT Association’s global trading competition.

He has worked in positions of responsibility in the financial sector (banks, investment and insurance companies) in Germany, Greece, Bulgaria and Cyprus.

His opinions and articles are published on a regular basis in Greek-language and international print and electronic financial press (“Kathimerini”, “Naftemporiki”, “Oikonomikos Taxydromos”, “Phileleftheros Cyprus” etc.).

He has published 7 poetry collections and is writing his first book on technical analysis and investment psychology.
