He is Professor at the School of Economics and Business of Philips University, Cyprus, as well as Member of the Council and the Internal Quality Assurance Committee at Philips University. He is an Emeritus Professor of Industrial Organization and Policy in the Department of Economics at the University of Crete. He holds a PhD in Economics from UCLA (USA), a BA and MA in Economics from AUEB (Greece) and BSc in Naval Engineering from NTUA (Greece). He was Visiting Professor for many years in Universities in Spain and The Netherlands. His research covers various fields in Economics (Industrial Organization and Business Strategies, Labor Economics and Bargaining, Environmental Economics, Economics of Innovation etc). He has 78 publications in highly ranked international journals and collective volumes. He has over 1.700 citations and an h-index 22 in Scopus, and over 4.100 citations and an h-index 32 in Google Scholar.
