Biography

Professor Pelleni-Papageorgiou is at present Visiting Professor of Law at Philips University. She was Professor of Civil Law at the Law School of the University of Athens Greece until her retirement in 2020. She has taught many courses in the Undergraduate and Postgraduate level at the Law School of the University of Athens and has written many books and articles on the subjects of  Private-law institutions, Consumer Law, Specific Part of Law of Obligations, Law of Succession, European Law and Medical Civil Liability.

Apart from her academic activities she was elected Director of the 1st Sector of Private Law in October 2017 (until 2019) and member of the ENAS Board of Directors (2016-2018). She also was member of the Greek Bank and Capital Market Law Society, member of the National Ethics Board, member of the Family Law Society and member of the Board of Directors of Evgenidion Hospital. In September 2017 she was appointed by the Law School as alternate member of the Board of Directors of the National School of Judges and in December 2016 she was chosen as a regular member of the Supreme Special Court for two years (2016, 2017).
