Professor Spyros Missiakoulis studied Econometrics in Greece and the UK. Businesswise, his professional experience is multisectoral. Briefly, he has successfully worked in the sectors of air aviation, the food industry, banking and investment, tourism, and pharmaceuticals. Currently he is focusing his academic research in (a) detecting financial fraud, (b) evaluating Corporate Management, (c) evaluating Corporate Social Responsibility, (d) estimating Delisting from Capital Markets, and (e) econometric analysis of qualitative data, as well as, (f) Aristotelian econometrics, and (g) Philosophy of Mathematics.

Quantitative research focuses on numeric and unchanging data and detailed, convergent reasoning rather than divergent reasoning. Quantitative research methods are frequently used to support decision making in many fields. They explain phenomena by collecting numerical data.
