Biography

Professor Spyros Missiakoulis specialized in Econometrics through his studies in Greece and the United Kingdom. In addition to his undergraduate degree in Economics, he holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Economic and Social Statistics, an M.Sc. in Quantitative Social Sciences, and a Ph.D. in Finance and Statistics. Currently, he serves as a Professor of Quantitative Methods, teaching Statistics, Econometrics, Operations Research, and Research Methodology.

His professional career spans a wide range of industries, including Aviation, the Food Industry, Banking & Investment, Tourism, and Pharmaceuticals, where he has held senior leadership roles.

In the academic sphere, his research focuses on quantitative finance, econometrics, performance management, financial fraud detection, and sports economics. Additionally, he has a profound research interest in identifying statistical structures and processes within ancient Greek literature, a specialized field in which he has contributed several scholarly publications.
