Elena Constantinou is a graduate of an Honors Bachelor of Arts which combines two programs of studies: a Specialist program for English Language and Literature and a Major program for French Language and Linguistics from the University of Toronto, Canada. She furthered her studies by obtaining a Masters of Arts in Teaching English to Young Learners (TEYL) from the University of York, UK. For nearly twenty years now, she has dedicated herself to teaching English as a second language (ESL) in numerous and various educational and language settings and institutions, shaping and applying her teaching approaches and methodologies towards second language acquisition. Over the years, she continues to support and teach students from diverse backgrounds, ranging from different proficiency levels and always emphasizing on how language learning must ‘make sense’ to ESL students and implementing adaptive teaching strategies and tasks. What is more, she is also an Oral Examiner for the Cambridge English Exams and has also been involved as an invigilator for the Cambridge English exams.
