Course Description

 Providing students with the necessary tools so that they can obtain:

  • Familiarity with the basic aspects of the concept of group counselling
  • Familiarity with elements that address the dynamics of the group, such as the different types of counselling groups and the appropriateness or necessity of its application in detoxification
  • Understanding and knowledge of the process and conditions of forming an advisory group of people in the stage of detoxification
  • Understand the role of the therapist / coordinator of the counselling group and how this group acts
  • Understanding the stages of change and modification of the personality and / or behaviour of the participants in the group, as well as understanding the resistance to change.
