Course Description

The course aims to familiarize students with the Cypriot law with the basic rules of proof in criminal cases. Emphasis is placed on the analysis of criminal cases that are, to a large extent, complex, in order to identify and prove the vital issues to be proved and, consequently, to apply the coherent rules of proof. The course will analyze cases from the case law and will discuss in detail issues that concern both the collection of data necessary for the prosecuting authority. Among other things, the aim of the course is to strengthen and empower students on a practical and theoretical level so that they can successfully address serious issues of proof of law in the courtroom in relation to the acceptance and evaluation of testimony and others related.
