Course Code:
CNS-113
Course Name:
Counsellors’ Deontology
ECTS:
6
Ethics in counselling and the basic ethical principles in the practice of the profession are an integral part of the training of counsellors. At the same time, as the provision of consulting services inevitably involves issues related to ethical dilemmas faced by the consultants, the course will discuss and analyse both the relationship between the concepts of “Value” and “Ethics”, as well as the possible techniques for resolving ethical issues.
In the course, students will be taught the basic Legal and Institutional Obligations of the Consultant as they arise from the current Legislation, most of which are European Directives and have been ratified in the legal systems of Greece and Cyprus.
