Course Description

The course aims to familiarize students with the rules of practicing law in Cyprus. More specifically, this course is to a large extent and depth interested in the rights and obligations of lawyers, in accordance with applicable relevant basic legislation and the corresponding case law.

At the same time, correct ways of writing laws are discussed and proper ways of analysing legal texts in order to properly prepare and present cases to the Court are examined. There is a critical approach to the bi-communal character of the Constitution, the basic provisions, the distinction of the three powers, the power of the independent officials.
