Course Description

The aim of the course is the enrichment of knowledge and the understanding of fundamental concepts of Administrative Law. In this regard, the general principles of administrative law and the contribution of case law to the whole development of administration are studied. Basic issues of Cypriot Administrative Law are systematically developed and analyzed and critically approached for an in-depth understanding of the whole grid of its provisions.

At the same time, the role of Administrative Law in the organization and action of the Public Service as well as its contribution to the functioning of the democratic state is discussed.

More specifically, the provisions that contribute to the general construction of public service and govern the operation and relations of public administration with managers are analyzed. The subject of study is also the general action of the public administration and the relevant judicial review of its legality.
