Addictions Counseling for Nurses

Course Description

This course is designed to help students gain broad perspective of specialized roles and responsibilities of nurses in counselling the psychoactive substance addicted person.

More over the program it helps students to develop knowledge and competencies required for assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and nursing management of individuals and families within various settings for their addicted behaviour.  

In general, the program strengths the nurses to be more effective when working with all sorts of addictions, including alcoholism, drug abuse, eating disorders, gambling, computer games,  and other compulsions.
