Addiction Prevention

Course Description

To provide students with the necessary tools so that they can obtain:

• Familiarity with the basic aspects of the concept of addiction prevention. Familiarity with elements of personality and psychopathology of individuals who are prone to addictions
• Understanding the importance of personality empowerment and proper education, as key tools for prevention.
• Understanding of family, social and school parameters related to prevention
• Understand behavioral changes, adult or juvenile, that may occur at the onset of addiction.

Basic guidelines on what actions should be taken by the specialist and the environment of a user, in the case where initial signs of use and dependence behavior are noticed
