Biography

George Venieris is a Visiting Professor at Philips University. He studied Economics and Business at Athens University of Economics and Business (1970). He carried out postgraduate studies at the Department of Accounting of Birmingham University where he obtained his Master of Commerce (1971) and his Doctorate (Ph.D, 1975).

Professor Venieris has lectured in Accountancy and served as Vice-Rector at Athens University of Economics and Business.The areas of his interest are: the international accounting standards, the analysis of the published financial statements, public accounting and taxation.
