Biography

Tita Kyriacopoulou is a Computational Linguistics Professor, affiliated with LIGM (Laboratoire Informatique Gaspard Monge), Gustave Eiffel University (UGF), in Marne-la-Vall´ee, France. She specialises in natural language processing, construction of electronic dictionaries and local grammars, disambiguation grammars, corpus analysis, information extraction, and text alignment. Currently, she participates in various research projects, eg, ECLAVIT (pooling of methods and interoperability of UGF text tools), GRAMLAB (industrial platform based on Unitex software components), CIXPLORER (semi-supervised approach for automatic identification, metadata extraction, enrichment and resolution of bibliographical citations in large-scale patent corpora), and an industrial project in cooperation with private company AMABIS (recognition and processing of addresses). Tita serves as reviewer of various journals and congresses, eg, the AILA Journal (Association Internationale de Linguistique Appliqu´ee), Lingvisticae Investigationes, Amsterdam-Philadelphia (Benjamins), CMLF (Congr`es Mondial de Linguistique Franhaise). Her main research interests are: natural language processing, language resources (construction of electronic dictionaries, lexicon-grammar), information extraction, named entities, natural language parsing, disambiguation grammars, corpus analysis, lexical ambiguity resolution, terminology, text alignment and finite-state transducers.
