The course aims to familiarize students with criminal law and criminal procedure as applied in Cyprus, knowing its sources to enable them to discern the basic principles within the Anglo-Saxon legal system in relation to the relevant data of the Cypriot system.
In addition, through the lectures, the relevant theories and criminal provisions are presented in order to better understand and understand how the entire criminal justice system works. In other words, the theories are being integrated and systematized in the Cypriot penal system. Central elements in the whole network are crime and punishment as well as the way they are dealt with by the system. At the same time, crimes against life, physical integrity, sexual freedom, property, honor and reputation are being studied extensively. Homicide, bodily harm, theft, embezzlement, robbery, rape, insult, defamation.
