Dr. Poutos I. Evangelos is an Assistant Professor of Finance and Financial Accounting at Philips University and an Academic Coordinator of the distance learning programs BA in Accounting and Finance and the MBA. He holds a Ph.D. from the Hellenic Open University in the field of Finance and Accounting, a Master’s degree in Finance (MSc Finance) from Birkbeck College, University of London, and a first degree in Economics from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. He has supervised and co-supervised more than 80 undergraduate and postgraduate theses and has published a series of scientific articles in the fields of Finance and Accounting.
Dr. Poutos has extensive teaching experience in Financial Management and Accounting at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Over the years, he has taught at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, the National Technical University of Athens, the Hellenic Open University, Harokopio University, and the University of West Attica.
In parallel with his academic career, Dr. Poutos has collaborated at C-level with Greek-American companies, contributing to business and project development initiatives. He has previously served as an advisor to the Minister of Development and Investment of Greece, participating in the strategic planning of the NSRF (National Strategic Reference Framework / ΕΣΠΑ) 2021–2027 and the Recovery and Resilience Facility (RRF). He has also acted as an external consultant to the Hellenic Republic Asset Development Fund (HRDH) in the Strategic Contracts Unit.
