Dimitrios Tsagalas is Lecturer of Public Relations and Communication at Philips University. He holds a Ph.D. (2021) from City, University of London University in Sociology and a Masters’ degree (2004) in European Journalism Studies from Cardiff University as well as a Bachelor’s Degree (Honours) from University of Sunderland in Journalism Studies.
His research interests are related to the European Media policy in relation to Public Relations. He is particularly interested in applying political economy of communications analyses through traditional media where he is interested about the sociological aspect of Public Relations and to the construction of European Public Sphere as a commodity in the European Union. His current research investigates communications policy of news media, social media and the public sphere in European politics.
