Professor Avgousta Kyriakidou Zacharoudiou is a Professor of Computing and Information Systems and the Program Co-ordinator of the BSc Degree in Computing and Information Technology at Philips University. She obtained her PhD in Information Systems from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE, 2011). She also holds an MSc in Analysis, Design and Management of Information Systems (LSE, 2006) and a BSc degree in Computer Science (University of Cyprus, 2005). Her research interests focus on how large-scale distributed systems are developed collaboratively within complex, virtual and global organizational contexts. This has included qualitative research of Grid computing, global systems development practices, distributed collaborations and virtual communities. Her work has been published in peer reviewed journals and international conference proceedings.
Professor Kyriakidou Zacharoudiou is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (PGCert) and has more than 10 years of teaching experience in UK Higher Education (LSE and the University of Greenwich). She is certified in Scrum, DevOps and Agile Project Management and teaches a number of courses on systems analysis, design, development and management, including agile development and management at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
