Petros Ioannides received his Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and Finance from Manchester University (1995). Following his undergraduate courses he became a member of The Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (1999). He also has an Advanced Certificate from CySEC-Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission and is a Qualified Mediator for the Ministry of Justice and Public Order (2015). In 2016 he was an Insolvency Practitioner in the Ministry of Energy, Commerce and Industry. He has over 15 years experience in the financial services sector, having held the position of general manager of a leading bank in the Republic of Cyprus before joining BDO.
Petros Ioannides is a licensed insolvency practitioner and heads our Business Recovery & Insolvency Practice.
He has extensive experience in all aspects of insolvency. His skills and experience have been utilised by government, various banks, finance institutions, lawyers, and private and public companies, in dealing with solvency and debt related issues. Petros Ioannides conducts seminars for accountants, banks and finance companies to build their insolvency knowledge and to assist them with their debt recovery.
